Why a CPO Certification?
The PHTA Certified Pool & Spa Operator Certification is recognized by local and state authorities as the most widely accepted, verifiable pool and spa training credential. Each year, more than 30,000 professionals learn how to more efficiently operate safer aquatic facilities with this program. The CPO Certification is valid for five years. This is an approved National Environmental Health Association course which will earn you 16 CEUs.

How to Earn Your
CPO Certification
CPO Certification training is offered in two formats for busy professionals:
- A two-day course in a classroom setting
- The blended approach: Pool Operator Primer online class followed by Pool Operator Fusion one-day in-classroom learning
CPO Certification requires successful completion of classwork and exam. Both formats include the chief industry resource PHTA Pool & Spa Operator Handbook, also available in Spanish.

Andrew Everts brings over 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He worked in the field as a consultant for corporate account customers to help them manage their pools at an account level. He worked in the training Department of Ecolab creating CPO training material and delivering CPO certification training to individuals and classes.
